The film Daughter will mark the re entry of Padmini Kolhapure in the film world. The story of the film is about the necessity of adopting a girl child. Even the actress Padmini believes that a girl can bring a lot of happiness into the family and says the all women will relate to this fact. The film highlights how much a girl does for the family. The story goes that Sudarshan Shastri and his family and staying together but still their house is far from becoming a home then he adopts a 15 year old girl and gets her in the house who is dislike by the sons and daughter in laws. When the girl leaves after 20 days of her stay, the family realizes her worth.
