After Tanushree Dutta refused to do an intimate step with Nana Patekar for on item number for the film Horn Ok Please, Tanushree was thrown out of the film and Rakhi Sawant was signed in immediately. Now Rakhi will get in to trouble for replacing Tanushree Dutta without her concern. As per rules of the association Rakhi should have taken a No Objection note from Tanushree before she started shooting for the item number. It is said that Tansushree left the sets after informing the producers of the film so Rakhi had no right to start shooting without Tanushree’s permission. Rakhi is held accountable here and will be questioned.
Tanushree Dutta is not going to give up just like that. After the mishap with media persons and the crew of the film who damaged her car and harassed her Tanushree Dutta has filed a complaint with the CINTAA. She has demanded for the compensation for the damage done to property and her reputation. Tanushree still can not believe that people actually damaged her car and were all over the car while she was inside it. She is also upset with her co star Nana Patekar who she says has misbehaved with her. She says that if our co stars will only behave in such a manner that it is for sure that other people will take stars for granted.
The Bollywood films have done a great business in the year 2007. Recently, the 2007 round up of the Bollywood movies in the UK have been released where ‘Om shanty om’ topped the list. ‘Welcome’ ranks at No.2 which stars Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal and have taken near enough $1.8 million to date. ‘Partner was as the third position followed by Namaste London. ‘Partner’ and ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ feature at No 4 and 5 respectively. Welcome has created another record by becoming the biggest UK hit ever of Akshay Kumar’s movie career! This was also one of the biggest of the four Akshay Kumar releases of 2007. Last year was really a very good year for this action hero. All his Bollywood movies did quite a good business in the country as well as out side the country.
Anees Bazmee’s Latest release film WELCOME has surpassed the collections that NO ENTRY accumulated in its entire theatrical run! The film stars Feroz Khan , Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor , Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. While NO ENTRY made close to 48 crores at the box office from India when released in 2005, WELCOME made more than 35 crore from its first week itself and after two weeks stands tall at 57 crores. The way this laugh riot is currently doing at the box office, a 75 crore total is pretty much on the cards, hence turning out to be a blockbuster outing for the film maker and his star cast.. Anees Bazmee is currently working on his next film with Akshay Kumar, SINGH IS KINNG, the shooting of which is more than 70% complete. This Vipul Shah production is getting ready for a 15th August release.
Nana Patekar is one of the major pillars of the film ‘WELCOME’ and has played a major role in the blockbuster success of the film. Now he would be following up his comic act in films like HORN OK PLEASSSS and EK - THE POWER OF ONE which would be releasing later this year. HORN OK PLEASSSS is a comedy directed by newcomer Rakesh Sarang. The film stars an interesting combination of actors like Rimi Sen, Muzammil Ibrahimm, Ali Asgar and Satish Shah. Earlier in 2007, Nana was seen in diverse roles as he played varied characters in films like YATRA, HAT TRICK and DUS KAHANIYAAN. Nana would also be seen in the role of a CBI Inspector in EK - THE POWER OF ONE, completed since middle of last year.
