Esha like Father Dharmendra

Filed under: Dharmendra, Esha Deol — Tags: , — Desibaba @ 6:51 pm

Bollywood actress Esha Deol,  is like her father Dharmendra, loves to do her job to her very best. In the movie Cash, she was doing some dangerous stunts by herself. While shooting for the film in South Africa, Esha wanted to do most of her stunts for the film herself. But instead of being happy, director Anubhav Sinha is a wee bit perturbed by this stance of hers. Anubhav felt that Esha should restrain her emotions a little and advised her to refrain from doing dangerous stunts herself. “Esha is a very protective daughter. When she came into movies, she was very unsure about how to go about her career. Even I wasn’t sure about whom to approach. That phase brought us closer together, I had done nothing to jump-start my own career, so how would I know how to go about Esha’s?” Anubhav said. Well that’s what we call taking care of the actors like own kids!

I recently watched the film Apne, and I personally found the film very good and rated it 10 out of 10. The film stars Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra, and it was the first time all three were acting together, and for a first time the film was wonderful. It had laughter, fun, actions and emotions. The music of the film is quite good and it is defiantly a film I would recommend.

Veeru

Filed under: Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra — Desibaba @ 6:35 am

The film Sholay has Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. The real hero is played by Dharmendra by the name of Veeru. The character is a young and dynamic personality who had taken to a small time stealing and petty crimes. The actor had done the role with a great vigor and strength. The role is still fresh in the memories of the people. The action he performed in coupling with Amitabh in Sholay can never be done in any film like it was done then.

The toss in Sholay

Filed under: Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra — Desibaba @ 12:47 am

There is a very different kind of a thing in the film Sholay, and it is the toss of a coin whenever there is a tough decision to make. The two friends always relied upon the coin to decide many important issues. In the end it is revealed that the coin used was a fake one and Jai played by Amitabh, always took the trouble on him. In the climax scene also he uses the coin to save the life of Veeru and decides to stay back while Veeru played by Dharmendra goes to bring the ammunition.

Basanti

In the film Sholay there is a character of Basanti played by Hema Malini. Basanti is a pony or a hack driver and is also a very talkative girl. She uses a mare to pull the horse cart. The name given to the mare is also very nice, it is Dhanno. Hema has done the job very successfully and her performance was appreciated by all. She plays the heroine against Dharmendra in the character of Veeru.

The name requires no introduction. There is a great image of this man in the Bollywood. He is the one and only Dharmendra, and people call him Garam Dharam with love due to his intense roles in great action in many Bollywood movies of his times like Sholay and many more. His role in many films was liked due to his handsome personality and his body language in the action sequences.
