Black and White to be banned

After Jodhaa Akbar it is Black and White that is said to have hurt the sentiments of certain people. Khalid Alvi who is the head of the Urdu Departmant in Zakir Hussain College has appealed in the High Court to ban the film. He claims that the role played by Anil Kapoor in the film who is an Urdu Professor has been based on him. Subhash Ghai who has directed the film said that if it so then it is purely coincidental and says that he has mentioned the same in the film too. But Khalid Alvi insists that the film is hurting his sentimental values as well as the values of the Muslim community.

Great Business in 2007 for Bollywood Movies

The Bollywood films have done a great business in the year 2007. Recently, the 2007 round up of the Bollywood movies in the UK have been released where ‘Om shanty om’ topped the list. ‘Welcome’ ranks at No.2 which stars Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal and have taken near enough $1.8 million to date. ‘Partner was as the third position followed by Namaste London. ‘Partner’ and ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ feature at No 4 and 5 respectively. Welcome has created another record by becoming the biggest UK hit ever of Akshay Kumar’s movie career! This was also one of the biggest of the four Akshay Kumar releases of 2007. Last year was really a very good year for this action hero. All his Bollywood movies did quite a good business in the country as well as out side the country.

Anil Kapoor is from a film background, and he is an actor who has been in the industry for many years. He has done many films with many different story line, role and with many actors. Yet he still remains his excellent skill in acting and gives his fans the most fantastic films. His recent film was No Entry, which was a hit, and in that he played a comedy role, which he portrayed very well. He will shortly be coming out with his next film, which is not known of.

Sanjay Kapoor’s acting career did not really take him that far, and he has now decided to form his own production house, just like his brothers Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. What we have to see is if Sanjay acts in his own films. At the moment Sanjay has signed Harman Baweja for his first film, and according to close sources the film is going to be directed by Satish Kaushik.
