No one could believe what they heard. A girl who nobody had heard of became Miss World 2000. And the name of this new Miss world was Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka was the fifth Indian to win the Miss World crown after Ashwariya Rai and Diana Hayden. Priyanka was born in Mumbai and is a down to earth, genuine, warm, selfless and loving person. Her achievements are all earned by herself. Today she has made to the list of the most sought after heroines in bollywood without any God Father in the industry. It was Priyanka mother and friends who forced her to take part in the Miss Bareilly contest and then Femina Miss India which led her road to the Miss World crown in 2000. Her debut was in film Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar where she made her presence felt and then went on to do films like Barsaat, Waqt, Yakeen, Krish, Salam-e-ishq etc.

Bhulbhulaiya is a film which was a super hit, the film had even come up to its 15th week running and by then had earned a whopping 55 crores. Welcome has created another record by becoming the biggest UK hit ever of Akshay Kumar’s movie career! This was also one of the biggest of the four Akshay Kumar releases of 2007. Last year was really a very good year for this action hero. All his Bollywood movies did quite a good business in the country as well as out side the country.
Anees Bazmee’s Latest release film WELCOME has surpassed the collections that NO ENTRY accumulated in its entire theatrical run! The film stars Feroz Khan , Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor , Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. While NO ENTRY made close to 48 crores at the box office from India when released in 2005, WELCOME made more than 35 crore from its first week itself and after two weeks stands tall at 57 crores. The way this laugh riot is currently doing at the box office, a 75 crore total is pretty much on the cards, hence turning out to be a blockbuster outing for the film maker and his star cast.. Anees Bazmee is currently working on his next film with Akshay Kumar, SINGH IS KINNG, the shooting of which is more than 70% complete. This Vipul Shah production is getting ready for a 15th August release.

In the past he has given some excellent films and action to the audience, and many have loved him for his good work.
