No one could believe what they heard. A girl who nobody had heard of became Miss World 2000. And the name of this new Miss world was Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka was the fifth Indian to win the Miss World crown after Ashwariya Rai and Diana Hayden. Priyanka was born in Mumbai and is a down to earth, genuine, warm, selfless and loving person. Her achievements are all earned by herself. Today she has made to the list of the most sought after heroines in bollywood without any God Father in the industry. It was Priyanka mother and friends who forced her to take part in the Miss Bareilly contest and then Femina Miss India which led her road to the Miss World crown in 2000. Her debut was in film Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar where she made her presence felt and then went on to do films like Barsaat, Waqt, Yakeen, Krish, Salam-e-ishq etc.
