Today’s Youth

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Every “responsible” adult around the city is talking about “spoilt youth” of today but except a few spoilt brats, I feel today’s youth is much career driven and focused then those, over a decade ago. Those were the days when colleges used to be a fun and chill out place without much of a future tension. Today’s youth knows exactly what they want and are trying their best to achieve it. Everything, starting from choosing best subjects to selecting the best college is a part of their perfect planning, which can give those well-paid jobs and excellent career prospects. Still our “responsible citizens” feels that today’s youth just loves to waste their parents “hard earned” money….

People working day and night and performing same kind of jobs for donkey years but changing bosses still feel that things haven’t been done in the right way. It may make workers feel that bosses have a habit of looking for flaws in their work, but if we think over it then there must be some mid way to this problem and the best way is on the job training. It’s not that employees who are working for last twenty years don’t know their jobs but success lies in the difference of doing things almost right or perfectly right. On the job training helps them to do the work in perfect manner, in required time to achieve better results and success in everything they do…

Everybody appreciate with this matter that old thing like Gold because old things always shine like gold. Peoples give priority to old things more than new things because new thing made from old thing. Old things are the base to prepare new things, our elders’ presents a line about old is gold, “New things are diamonds, old things are gold but to hold a diamond you need a base of gold.”

Old things amuse us (like old songs, old movies). So always believe in old is gold. If we give priority to new things then we will be deprive from gold from old.
